Armada Fund VI Ky has closed its eighth platform investment and provided financing to Cornelsen Group, a portfolio company of Rivus Capital. The financing is used for the acquisition of Groundwater Technology and to fund further growth.

Cornelsen Group, based in Germany, provides technology and services for the treatment of contaminated water and soil. The company focuses on PFAS remediation (primarily contaminated water), for which Cornelsen owns its patented “PerfluorAd” technology. Customers include municipalities, the chemical industry, consultancies, utilities, and the oil & gas sector.

Groundwater Technology (GWT), based in the Netherlands, operates a project-based business focused on soil and groundwater remediation. GWT is recognized as a high-quality, innovative provider with long-standing client relationships and strong regulatory credentials. The offering includes groundwater investigation, remediation engineering, delivery of turnkey remediation systems, as well as monitoring and aftercare.

The acquisition rationale is primarily based on geographic expansion, as well as sector- and technological synergies. Key market growth drivers include tightening PFAS regulation across Europe and the US.
