Armada has recruited Erik Thornell as Partner

We are pleased to announce that Erik Thornell has been recruited as Partner to our Stockholm office, bringing 20+ years of experience from raising and investing in Leveraged Buyout debt and 10+ years of Private Equity investing in the Nordics.

Erik most recently joins us from Segulah, a Nordic mid-market Private Equity fund, where he spent 10 years. At Segulah, Erik was Partner and Head of Debt Financing, but also served as a member of the Investment Committee and board member in some of the fund’s portfolio companies.

As Head of Debt Financing, Erik was responsible for co-ordinating all the debt financing and structuring activities of Segulah at fund and portfolio company level, involving a wide spectrum of financing instruments, including senior debt, unitranche, high-yield bond, mezzanine, revolver, bridge financing and equity co-investment solutions. Prior to that, Erik spent 8 years working for SEB Acquisition Finance, where he arranged both senior and subordinated buy-out financing for private equity sponsors and 7 years with ABN AMRO Structured Finance in Stockholm. Erik is a Swedish national and holds a M.Sc. in Finance and International Business from the Stockholm School of Economics.
